On February 27, 2014, the Embassy of Yemen opened its doors to welcome a group of students from Carleton University’s International Relations Society.

The students, who are majoring in political science, international relations and public affairs, were interested in acquiring a more in-depth knowledge of countries in the region, as well as a clearer understanding of their diplomatic relations with Canada. To this end, they have visited several other Embassies and have found it extremely helpful to gain such valuable knowledge from the perspective of the foreign representatives themselves.

The Ambassador was extremely happy to educate the group about Yemen, and delivered a presentation that effectively produced a comprehensive summary of Yemen - its stunning geography, rich history, diverse politics, economics and most importantly, the many positive developments since the Arab Spring and an outline of its great future potential.
